Highlights of Day 10 of the London Olympics

- The U.S. women's soccer team is back in the Olympic gold medal match after a wild, come-from-behind 4-3 win over Canada with a goal in the final minute of extra time by Alex Morgan. Now the Americans will be out to avenge one of the most gut-wrenching losses in the program's history - a rematch of last year's World Cup final, won by Japan on penalty kicks.

- Aliya Mustafina overcame the pain of a knee injury six months ago to win the uneven bars competition in gymnastics - one of three gold medals for Russia for the day. Other victories for Russia came from Alan Khugaev in men's 84-kilogram Greco-Roman wrestling and Yuliya Zaripova in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase.

- Arthur Zanetti gave Brazil its first medal in gymnastics, upsetting "Lord of the Rings" Chen Yibing for the gold on still rings. South Korea's Yang Hak-seon added Olympic gold to his world title on vault.

- American Jennifer Suhr won the gold medal in women's pole vault, ending Yelena Isinbayeva's bid for a third straight Olympic title. Suhr won after clearing 4.75 meters at her second attempt, and missed every attempt at 4.80. Isinbayeva finished with bronze at 4.70. She had aimed to be the first woman in track and field to win three individual Olympic titles in three successive games.

- After seeing gold medals slip away on his final shot at both the Athens and Beijing Olympics, American Matt Emmons took a last shot in the 50-meter three-position rifle competition that was terrible for someone at an elite level but good enough for a bronze.

- Jason Kenny beat his nemesis for the first time and extended British domination in track cycling at the London Olympics. Kenny won the marquee event of the sport, the sprint, over Gregory Bauge of France for Britain's fifth gold medal out of a possible seven in track cycling.

- Led by Nick Skelton - a rider who broke his neck in an equestrian competition fall 12 years ago - Britain won its first Olympic show jumping gold medal in 60 years.

MEDALS

- China is atop the medals table with 31 golds and 64 total medals. The United States is second with 29 golds and 63 medals overall. Russia has moved into third place in total medals with 42 - seven of them gold. Britain has 18 golds and 40 total medals.

- Pavlos Kontides won Cyprus' first medal at an Olympics when he took the silver in sailing's Laser class. The island nation in the Mediterranean started taking part in the modern-day Olympics at the 1980 Moscow Games. Said Kontides: "I guess I wrote my name in Cyprus sport in golden letters."

NOT THEIR FINEST HOUR

- Defending Olympic 50K race walk champion Alex Schwazer tested posiive for doping and has been removed from the Italian team.

- American judo fighter Nick Delpopolo was expelled from the Olympics for failing an in-competition doping test. The IOC said he tested positive for metabolites of cannabis after competing on July 30, the day of the event. He said he unintentionally ate something before the games that had been baked with marijuana.

SLAPSTICK ON THE SPRINGBOARD

Two divers scored all zeros and two others got low scores for badly botching their dives. But Ilya Zakharov of Russia stayed steady to top the standings in the 3-meter springboard in the men's preliminaries marred by pratfalls.

TUESDAY'S SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
